Liquid/Solids Separation
Whether you need a simple, manually operated filter or a complete, automated, turnkey system, Mid-Atlantic Environmental Equipment, Inc offers several solutions for your process and waste treatment needs. The selection of liquid/solid separation equipment is based on gpm flow and solids loading. The chart below shows the general range of operation for each filter type.

Media Filters

Bag Filters
MAE provides a variety of standard design vessels to handle flow rates between 10 gpm to 2,500 gpm at pressure ratings ranging from 75 to 600 psi. For special system requirements, our engineers will custom design a system.

.
Emulsion Breaking Systems

Mid-Atlantic Environmental provides emulsion cracking systems for emulsion breaking of a variety of waste types in industrial wastestreams. EC Series emulsion breaking systems are designed to remove free/dispersed and emulsified hydrocarbon products in wastewater streams through the use of chemical cracking technology. The emulsion is cracked via pH adjustment and/or emulsion cracking chemistry. Oil water separation follows the cracking stage.

Many sizes, chemical processes and custom designs are offered up to 200 GPM. The compact EC Series emulsion cracking systems are designed for above grade applications with many features and options to provide engineers, system integrators and end users with convenience and flexibility in system integration choices. Customization & modifications are available.
.
Dissolved Air Flotation

The Dissolved Air Flotation-DAF Series systems are designed for removal of many types of contaminants via flotation.

The DAF systems are designed with many features and options to provide engineers, system integrators and end users with convenience and flexibility in system integration choices. Customization & modifications are available.

Products removed: solids, oils, fuels (vehicle/jet), fuel oils, hydraulic fluids, immiscible machining oils, lube oil, transmission fluid, vegetable based oils, animal/vegetable by-products & other many products.

Chemical PreTreatment Systems

Mid-Atlantic Environmental utilizes various chemical pretreatment system combinations prior to and after our Slant Plate Clarifiers, oil/water separators and Dissolved Air Flotation systems to provide solutions based on removal objectives. Treatment technologies have evolved for removal of soluble metals, oil-in-water emulsions, pH adjustment, oxidation/reduction, coagulation/flocculation and other processes as required by the application.

Flow Rates Covered: 1 through 2000 GPM

pH Adjustment Systems

Mid-Atlantic Environmental provides pH adjustment systems to simplify continuous or batch adjustment of your wastestream. We can provide many standard or custom designs up to 1000 GPM.

Inclined/Slant Plate Clarifiers

Mid-Atlantic Environmental provides Slant Plate Clarifiers, commonly referred to as inclined plate clarifiers. The SPC Series Slant Plate Clarifiers are designed for settling solids and precipitated metals. The compact SPCs are designed with many features and options to provide engineers, system integrators and end users with convenience and flexibility in system integration choices. Customization & modifications are available.

Chemical pretreatment is typically used to improve contaminant removal. Model sizing is based on the product to be removed, flow rate and other application parameters. We offer many sizes up to 3300 square feet and many types of chemical pretreatment systems to settle solids metals and other products requiring settling.

Washwater Treatment

The VEW Series Vehicle Wash Treatment Systems are designed for above grade applications. The lightweight, compact systems are designed with many features and options to provide engineers, system integrators and end users with convenience and flexibility in system integration choices. Customization & modifications are available.Products removed: motor oils, fuels (vehicle/jet), fuel oils, hydraulic fluids, immiscible machining oils, lube oil, transmission fluid, LNAPLs, air compressor lube, solids, sheens and other many products. Model sizing is based on the oil/fuel specific gravity, droplet size removal desired and other parameters of the wastestream.

Mid-Atlantic Environmental provides vehicle washwater treatment systems for pressure wash, car wash, truck wash and many vehicle wash and wash rack facilities. Many sizes, standard and custom systems can be provided up to 500 GPM.
