Control Panels

Mid-Atlantic Environmental control panels are designed and built for each specific project, depending on the types of equipment being used, level of control sophistication and other site specific considerations.
Common Features
  • Standard electro-mechanical based logic
  • Motor starters with adjustable thermal overload protection
  • U.L. Listed inrrinsically Safe relays for fail safe and interlocked system operation
  • Selector switches (On-Off or Hand-Off-Auto) for the various motors
  • Run indicator lights for the various motors
  • Alarms with visual and/or audible indicators and resets
  • Automatic or manual re-start after an alarm condition

Common Panel Options

Programmable Logic Controller (PLC)

  • Replaces electro-mechanical based logic with software based logic.
  • Sophisticated PLC interfaces with the various electrical devices (pumps, blowers, float switches, pressure transducers, pressure switches, etc.)
  • Provides remote control and monitoring using Windows based software supplied as part of the system. Allows you to view the system's operating status and provides the same access to control functions that you would have if you were at the site itself
  • Fax and pager reporting keeps you informed. Periodic scheduled fax reports will alert you immediately by fax or pager if an alarm condition requires attention or if the system is operating properly
  • Datalogging capability automatically records all operating conditions. Logged data can be accessed remotely at any time and downloaded to your office computer for reporting and troubleshooting.

Enclosure Types

Panels can be manufactured with enclosures for use in hazardous locations (NEMA 7) or enclosures to be weather resistant (NEMA 3), watertight (NEMA 4), or for any other classification. "Purge Panels" also available for hazardous locations.

Installation Options

Panels can be installed and wired to the equipment skid or can be installed remotely i.e., on the side wall of the treatment building and away from the equipment

Electric Power

Panels can be designed to operate on virtually any electrical source from 115 VAC, 1 phase to 460 VAC 3 phase.

Primary Circuit Protection

Circuit breakers and disconnects can be provided as a part of the control panel or can be provided by others and installed at the site by a licensed electrician as part of the site construction.
